Thoughts on the Neo-Human in an Interconnected World

Wednesday, April 9th, 2008

The 21st century will be defined as the century that brought forth the birth of a neo-human. A radical evolution of man into a self-defined sentient being capable of sharing thoughts, ideas, experience instantly to any point on the planet, without the aid of wires or external devices.

People already can share video, pictures, and audio with the aid of electronic handheld devices to others all over the world in seconds. Imagine a world where if you know the person, you can take a peek at what they are doing at that second, in real time via a 24-hour personal streaming feed. This is basically the ability for everyone to have their own personal reality TV show. Think this is crazy?

Thought leaders of today are shaping the present and will shape what our future will be. Don’t you want to be a part of this radical evolution of freedom to share, experience, and create.

4 Predictions that should take place by the end of the century:

1. The end of the cashier.

RFIDs will enable us to shop and purchase simply by leaving a store.

2. The end of the 9 to 5.

More and more people are working their own hours. Imagine instead of hours being billed, creativity and thought power can be billed.

3. The end of the 40 hour work week. (for those of us in the USA)

We can now work half the time and produce the same amount of goods and services, imagine fifty years from now.

4. Semi-autonomous robots will take over blue collar labor jobs.

Robots are coming, in case you are unaware, check out Japan’s latest.
